The Els Pins Resort & SPA Hotel, in its commitment to sustainability and energy efficiency, has installed a photovoltaic system on the canopies of its parking lot to optimize resource consumption and reduce its carbon footprint.
The installation has a capacity of 113.74 kWp and is expected to generate 159.99 MWh of renewable energy annually, allowing the hotel to cover part of its electricity demand through a clean and sustainable source. Thanks to this infrastructure, a reduction of 73 tons of CO₂ per year is anticipated, contributing to climate change mitigation.
This project has been financed by the Investment Plan for the Energy Transition of the Balearic Islands (PITEIB), promoted by the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge, within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation, and Resilience Plan, with funding from the European Union – Next Generation EU (Recovery and Resilience Mechanism).
